Is Roly rolling into new beginnings with your family
So I’m sad to say after so much interest in Roly not one person has committed to wanting to adopt him so he is now officially up for adoption in the hope you will all SHARE for me and we can get him the home of his dreams Roly is a gorgeous 5 to 6 month old Pointer puppy and is looking for a home
We found him dumped on the side of the road and couldn’t just leave him with no food or water. He’s a gorgeous little chap. Happy and healthy, blood tested, vaccinated and has been flea’d and wormed. He’s amazing with both dogs and people and is super keen to learn. He is crate trained, loves cuddles and playing with his toys. He’s eager to learn and is very intelligent. Are you looking for an adorable pup just like him? If so…..

For those of you who don’t know about Ozzy please let me give you a bit of detail about his background. He was found at about 15 months old wandering the mountains of Cyprus, starving hungry covered in ticks and fleas and very skinny. Upon seeing his rescuer he bounded up and tried to climb into the boot because he knew where the food was but there was absolutely no sign of fear or aggression which lead us to believe that he hadn’t been abused just simply dumped as he was no longer wanted😞 The sad thing is that Ozzy had obviously been thrown out the back of a truck on one of the mountain tracks near where he was found weeks previously and true to the character of the breed and in particular Ozzy he was waited patiently for them to return despite having very limited access to food, water or shelter. Thankfully they didn't and as a result Ozzy has a future and is going to find the home he deserves as he really will make someone a great family pet and an extremely loyal companion. We managed to get Ozzy into foster in November and he is doing amazingly well even seems to be handling the cold British weather 🙂 so i have asked the foster family to provide a little update on how the big boy is doing and below is what they said 😊
Ozzy is 17/18 months now and weighs in somewhere around 40kg and so he can be described as a big lump of goofy teenager. We have no experience of GSD's and so had no knowledge of their traits but he was a dog in need on the next stage of his journey which ended up being our journey as well. As you can imagine he arrived with no boundaries/manners and given his size (which he didn't seem to be aware of) he bulldozed his way though most things for the first week so rules and consistency were crucial in every aspect of his daily life. Whilst decompressing he lived outside in kennels adapting slowly to all the new changes he had experienced in a very short space of time. Initially he didn't seem very keen on our small dogs and so we kept them apart via a stock and rail fence but we have now came to the conclusion (thanks to a couple of professional trainers one of which is more than happy to speak to any prospective owner) that he was actually just decompressing and frustrated. We are now 2 months down the line and he has made such progress it makes my heart swell with pride for him. He now lives in the house with our 3 dogs, walks well on a lead now despite being terrified of it at first, understands the rules of the house no climbing on furniture/worktops, waits his turn for his dinner and going through doors. He is doing really well but we understand that his training will be an ongoing thing as he had no formative rules for the crucial first months of his life however he is very clever and picks things up really quickly and the fact that he is very food orientated makes training so much easier!! Ozzy loves his food but he also loves humans and i mean loves them he is very loyal and is never far away . Everyone who visits the house is greeted with enthusiasm (even the postie) and he has meet little humans (youngest being 7) under close supervision. I suppose the only negative to Ozzy would be that he will need ongoing training just to reinforce good behavior but i suppose that's probably true of any dog. To be honest if we didn't already have 3 dogs he would have been a keeper as he really is the most lovely dog but i just don't think we can shoe horn him into a campervan as well 🙂”
Ozzy is amazing and a picture of health!

Are you Mona's and Spot's forever family?
Mona and Spot are mum and son and were dumped on our drive some years ago when Spot was a tiny puppy.
They are the most loving affectionate dogs and real little characters. They are approx. 6 and 7 years old and are great with people and other dogs. They are house trained, come when called, obedient, super loving and affectionate. They adore each other so sleep, eat and play together and simply they are just great fun to have around. I just don’t know why no one has ever wanted to adopt them? It’s so sad and if they ever find a home letting them go will be so incredibly hard 💔 However Cyprus is getting worse and worse for abandoned dogs as so if they can find a lovely home together that frees up another two spaces to help more living a life of misery.
